The specialist course on the Bible and the Holy Land aims to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the theological, spiritual and pastoral significance of the holy sites linked to the life of Jesus from a Christian point of view.
Participants will learn the significance of these sacred sites in the Christian faith, covering theological, biblical and historical aspects. The study will be holistic, starting from the archaeological and geographical aspects and then studying the main Holy Places.

Faculty

Prof. Diego Pérez Gondar
Born in Pontevedra, Spain, he holds a degree in Industrial Engineering – Automation and Electronics (1999) from the University of Vigo, and a bachelor's degree (2008) and doctorate (2009) in Biblical Theology from the University of Navarra. He is a priest incardinated in the Prelature of the Holy Cross and Opus Dei, ordained on September 6, 2009. He completed post-doctoral studies in Biblical Sciences in Jerusalem at the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum (2015-2016). He is currently a professor and researcher in the Department of Biblical Studies and Church History at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Navarra.

Joseángel Domínguez, PhD
Born in Seville, Spain, is a Biblical Theologian and educational leader with degrees from Universidad de Sevilla and Pontificia Università della Santa Croce. He completed his Ph.D. in 2019, focusing on the Book of Obadiah's oracle of Edom. Joseángel served as the CEO of the Polis Institute in Jerusalem from 2013 to 2018, enhancing studies of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cultures. In 2020, he launched the CRETIO initiative along with co-founder, Barbara Pereira, and is currently the Executive Director of the CRETIO Foundation. An author of internationally recognized books, he combines theological depth with innovative learning strategies.
